Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) has been named one of the five best small airports in the North East United States by www.Forbes.com. With the opening of the new terminal in late summer of 2004, HIA became the first Multi-Modal transportation facility on the East Coast.

With the Completion of the rail segment; airways, railways, highways, and walkways will all converge and connect at HIA. The new terminal has 12 gates for aircraft, stands 55 feet tall, and is approximately 400,000 square feet in size.
